Ethan Dotson earns podium in World 100 preliminary at Eldora Speedway
Ethan Dotson rolled into Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday afternoon and unloaded his ASD Motorsports No. 74X machine for the 55th-running of the World 100.
Dotson opened up the three-day weekend with a 24th-place run in the first $12,000-to-win prelim before picking up the pace on Friday evening. Ethan won his shootout from the front-row and was slated to start on the pole of the first 25-lap feature. Leading the first 13 circuits, Ethan was passed by Dale McDowell and Bobby Pierce which forced him to settle for a third-place outing.
For Saturday's $72,000-to-win finale, Dotson earned his spot in the feature by picking up the last transfer spot in his heat race. Ethan started 14th in the 100-lapper and finished 20th.
